Venue Spotlight: The Space LV
Written by Tina Brice
Las Vegas has no shortage of large venues for audience sizes from a few thousand to stadiums, but there seems to be a lack of smaller venues. The Space LV is trying to, and succeeding, at being a premier venue for smaller scale events. Not only do they rent out the location for different kinds of events, but they are also hosting a local music series.
Playing a show for a small band can be difficult financially, and the Space has decided to help the local bands overcome this bump. Home to the Las Vegas Entertainment Community Fund outpost, the Space helps support the arts in the city, and all over the country. They are a community center at the very heart of it. The Space also helps by putting on a variety show twice a month to help raise money for local non-profits.
This year, they are putting on a local music series featuring up and coming artists from the Las Vegas Valley. Local music series night two, being held on July 27, 2024, will showcase artists Francia, Radical West, Makeda and King Fun. Doors are at 7 pm with the show starting at 8 pm. Tickets are $20, and the event is all ages.
